UWEP(Uganda Women Empowerment Program)

UWEP is yet another program initiated by the Uganda Government in addition to other Government progams in the District to help improve on the Social and Economic well being of the rural women.

This program began in October 2016 and its meant to benefit women from the ages of 18-65 years.

To date 37 UWEP files were successfully presented to the Ministry for recommendation to benefit on the first disbursement of funds F/Y 2016/2017

8 files were deferred due to errors and incomplete documentation and 29 approved for funding. However, the deferred files if corrected fast, will be resubmitted for verification to benefit in this financial year 2017/2018. See list attached.
