Masindi Hospital Access Road Launched

The Construction of Masindi General Hospital Access Road was on Tuesday 8th September Launched by the District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga.
Speaking as the Chief Guest during the Launch at Masindi Hospital, Cosmas expressed happiness for the construction exercise because the struggle of the funds to have the road constructed took him to several
government Ministries.
He also disclosed that, after the completion of the road construction, he will now lay empasis on beautifying the Hospital and expansion of the Maternity Ward to reduce congestion during deliveries by expectant
mothers.
The Project will cost 172 Million shillings and the road will be constructed from the Main Gate to the Theatre which is a stretch of 177 meters.
Speaking during the same event, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Masindi Martin Mugabi Appreciated the Leadership of the District for including the Hospital Road in thier plans.
Mugabi also cautined the District Engineer together with his team against producing shoddy work on the access road.
He however, promised to avail security to safegaurd the construction materials.
The Ag. Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Geoffrey Nkurunzinza revealed that the road will be completed within a period of two months. He therefore appealed to the locals to bear with the situation until the road is
ready for use.
Ramek Atugonza the District Engineer said that they bought pavers which will be used during the construction of the access road.
