Masindi Receives EMYOOGA Money Worth 1.1 Billion Shillings

Masindi District has received Emyooga SACCO money worth 1.1 Billion Shillings.
Speaking to the Communications Officer on Tuesday 5th January, the Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Masindi Bahebwa Longino revealed that the money
was wired onto SACCO's Group Accounts on 24th December 2020 and that they are waiting for release of Registration Certificates from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives to enable Emyooga Group Chairpersons access the funds for use.
Masindi has 57 registered Emyooga SACCOs with each constituency producing 19 SACCOs and over 1,160 are the current registered Emyooga Group Associations.
The 19 Registered Emyooga SACCOs among others include, Performing Artists, Saloon Operators, Women Entreprenuers, Market Vendors, Taxi Operators, Restaurant
Owners, Elected Leaders, Youth Leaders, Boda Bodas, PWDs, Produce Dealers, Private Teachers, Mechanics, Tailors, Journalists, Carpenters, Veterans, Fishermen and
Welders.
