RDP Uganda Donates Equipment Worth 8 Million Shillings to the District Task Force Committee

Recreation for Development and Peace (RDP) Uganda on Thursday 29th October Donated an assotment of items to the District COVID-19 Task Force Team valued at 8 Million Shillings to assist in the fight against
COVID-19 Pandemic.
The Donated items included 30 Hand Washing Cans, 30 Jerrycans of Liquid Soap, 28 Bottles of Sanitizer and 7 Infrared Thermometers.
While Handing over the items to the Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Masindi, Bahebwa Longino at his Office, the Director RDP Uganda Robert Muhangi said they carried out a mini survey and realized
that Health Centre IIs and IIIs lacked equipment to fight COVID-19. This prompted them to seek support inform of funds from thier sister development partner Action Aid who responded positively to the noble cause.
on receiving the donated items, Bahebwa Longino explained that the items will help to boost the fight against the pandemic in the District.
He however urged the Incharges who will receive the items to put htem to good use.
Bahebwa later thanked the Development Partners for the support they have rendered to the District COVID-19 Task Force Committee.
Michael Muddu the District Health Educator who represented the Ag. District Health Officer (DHO) revealed that the Health Centres have been getting low funds which could strain them in procuring items to fight
COVID-19.
