Leaders argued to Preach Postive Thinking to Alleviate Poverty Using PDM

The Deputy Chief Coordinator for Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) Maj Gen. Samuel Kavuma has argued leaders in Masindi District to lay emphasis on mind set change if the government is to register success using the Parish Development Model (PDM) program.
Maj Gen. Kavuma further stressed that, all other government programs have not achieved their purpose of eradicating poverty out of the locals because they have for long not had a positive thinking of using available resources to increase on their wealth.
He added that Uganda is the "Pearl of Africa" a signal that the country is gifted with natural resources that if utilized the country Men and Women can spur development.
He was addressing district and Municipality leaders yesterday, as a key note speaker during a one day training on the Parish Development Model implementation rollout that was held at the Education Hall.
Speaking during the same training, the District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga cautioned technocrats against mismanaging the program saying that they won't be left unpunished.
In her closing remarks, the NRM District Chairperson, Hon. Kabakumba Laboni Masiko said that the PDM is a vehicle to drive the subsistence households who are not in the money economy get out of poverty.
She however, asked the leaders to be keen not to allow the same groups be recycled to benefit from the PDM against the new groups.
