The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Masindi, Darius Nandinda has today handed over 1,000 hand hoes to benefit 500 civilian war veterans in Masindi as support from government through the Office of the Prime Minister.
Addressing the beneficiaries at the district headquarters, Nandinda challenged the war veterans to utilize the equipments for house hold farming.
On his part,the District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga, commended the civilian war veterans saying that they played a key in liberating the country during the liberation war from 1980to 1989.
The Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (DCAO),Samson Natsambwa said the consignment of hand hoes was delivered to the district from the prime Minister's office on 13th December last year.
