The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Masindi, Emmy Ngabirano has implored live stock farmers to embrace improved animal feeds inorder to attain high milk and beef production.
Ngabirano says,"If live stock farmers adopt hybrid feeds and give dairy cows enough water ,they will get much milk and reap much income since milk is on high demand."
He also encouraged farmers to use government programs that are focused on inputs to enhance thier house hold incomes.
The RDC said this today,as he gave out two Fodder Chopper s with aharmer component worth Shs 14 million to Kaan Mixed Farm group in Kiduru cell, Bigando Ward in Kigulya Division Masindi Municipality.
Speaking at the same event,the Acting District Production Officer,Dr.Fred Ssebuguzi explained that the farmer group was supported by Market Oriented Beef Improvement Project (MOBIP) with the aim of improving beef production through quality feeds.
The Chairperson of the farmer group Kasaija Anatole appreciated the District for supporting thier group with the feed facilities that will help them feed thier animals with ease.
