Out going CAO calls for recruitment of substantive HODs

The Out-going Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Masindi, Phionah Sanyu has called for the recruitment of substantively appointed Heads of Departments inorder to improve on the performance score card and also attract commendable resources.
Sanyu asserts that,lack of Substantive Departmental Heads for some departments has hugely affected good performance of the district from National assessments.
She however appreciated all staff and also leaders for supporting her serve the district for the last three years.
She made the call on Friday last week,while handing over instruments of power to the new CAO Tappy Namulondo in a ceremony that was held in the district council chambers.
Phionah Sanyu who has worked in Masindi district for three years has been transferred to Bushenyi district while the new CAO Tappy Namulondo has been transferred to Masindi from Kamuli district.
Speaking as the new CAO, Tappy Namulondo lauded the Out-going CAO Phionah Sanyu for what she has achieved for Masindi district and also setting the bar high.
Tappy however,underscored the need for team work, mutual respect and coordination from staff as a symbol to drive the district forward.
She cautioned against staff who prefer drinking alcohol to working saying that she wouldn't tolerate such behavior.
The District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga,thanked the Out-going CAO Phionah Sanyu for bringing sanity among staff which has created an enabling working environment.
He tasked the new CAO Tappy Namulondo to fast truck the return of wage to enable recruitment on replacement for retiring staff.
In his closing remarks,the Resident District Commissioner Masindi, Emmy Ngabirano commended the Out-going CAO for the team work and cooperation she exhibited with the security committee members.
He also welcomed the In-coming CAO Tappy Namulondo and pledged to support her in the performance of her duties.
