The Ministry of Water and Environment has revealed that the piped water system will increase from 11% to 50% access in Rural areas by 2030.
The revelation was made today,by Samuel Tusiime aSenior Sociologist from Ministry of Water and Environment under the Water Directorate, during a one day training on National Operation and Maintenance Frame Work for Rural Water Infrastructure in Uganda that was held in the district council chambers.
He further stated that,the frame work will also enable districts become Authorities to manage gazetted water systems within thier jurisdiction.
