Youth Minister urges partners to conserve the environment

The Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs Hon.Balaam Barugahara has urged development partners to restore the environment through planting trees in areas where they are depleted.
The Minister asked Kinyara Sugar Works Limited to restore ranches where they have their sugar cane plantations as well as planting trees along the kafu river buffer zone.
He also requested the management of Kinyara Sugar Works Limited to construct a biogas cooking system for Kimengo Primary School as part of Cooperate Social Responsibility.
The Minister gave his message yesterday while officiating as the Chief Guest during the commemoration of the World Environment Day in Kimengo Sub-County held under the theme,"Land Restoration, Desertification for Climate Resilience".
Speaking during the same function,the Member of Parliament for Buruli County Hon.Aled Akugizibwe, challenged residents of Kimengo Sub-County to secure land measuring to at least five acres to enable him lobby for the Sub-County a Secondary School.
The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Masindi district, Emmy Ngabirano vowed to arrest all those soliciting for bribes from beneficiaries of the Parish Development Model strategy.
