Project Contractors have been cautioned against shoddy work

The Chief Administrative Officer Masindi, Phionah Sanyu has cautioned contractors against producing shoddy work during the execution of construction projects that they will under take in the district.
Phionah says many contractors have for long produced shoddy work under the disguise of manipulating with the bills of quantities.
She warned contractors that, "this time if you produce sub-standard work, you will face the jury".
She advised contractors that they should always study the topography of an area before executing construction works.
She was addressing contractors yesterday, during the meeting of contract signing that was held in the district council chambers.
Speaking in the same meeting, the District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga appealed to contractors to avoid politics while executing government projects.
He also advised the contractors to use quality materials if they are to produce standard work.
In Her closing remarks, the Resident District Commissioner Masindi, Rose Kirabira Nalongo appreciated the CAO for involving all stalk holders in contract signing.
She says this is the first of its kind for the Chief Administrative Officer to involve stalk-holders like the District Chairperson and the Resident District Commissioner at the stage of contract signing.
