Leaders in Masindi Launch Road Spot improvements Worth Shillings 960 Millions.

Leaders in Masindi District yesterday launched spot improvements of district roads amounting to shillings 960 millions and covering 20Km across the district.
Led by Aled Akugizibwe, the MP for Buruli County, the leaders launched from Kiruli trading center at Pakanyi-Nyakarongo 8.2 km road.
Aled, appealed to the locals to use the roads that are going to be worked upon to increase on their production.
He assured the residents that other roads like the Tantala road which is in a sorry state will also be worked upon.
Speaking at the same event, the Force Account Manager for western region from the Ministry of Works and Transport Isaac Tibihika told the locals that the ministry will support the district to do spot improvement on six roads which include Pakanyi-Nyakarongo 8.2km road, Kitamba-Kijunjubwa 5.2 km road, Kitengule-Epedi-Kimina 0.7km road, Bulima-Byebega road at Kyawinyi swamp a half a kilometer, Katagurukwa-Kinumi road, 2.9 km and Kinumi-Kisindizi 2.5km road which all total to 20 km which are to be improved by Ministry of Works machinery.
The District Chairperson,Cosmas Byaruhanga expressed excitement and appreciated the government through the ministry of works since the district out cry has been answered.
He asked the residents to keep calm as other roads in poor conditions will be worked upon in a phased manner.
On his part, the Resident District Commissioner Emmy Ngabirano asked the plant operators from the ministry of works to do bush clearing on the roads that they will work on to enable them keep in good state.
