UWA extends revenue support to Pakanyi residents

Masindi Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Emmy Ngabirano has today handed over revenue cheques from Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA)worth Shs 57 million to sixteen community groups in Pakanyi Sub-County that border Murchison Falls National Park.
Speaking as he gave out the cheques to beneficiaries at Pakanyi Sub-County headquarters, Ngabirano lauded UWA for always extending revenue support to communities that are usually affected by wildlife destruction.
He however, rallied those who received the revenue share,to invest the money in productive projects that will generate income .
Speaking at the same function,the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (DCAO), Robert Abia Owilli, cautioned Community members who are on the Community Procurement Committee against buying over costed projects because the District team,will come to monitor whether the projects are in existence .
