Bunyoro Affairs minister Rallies Leaders in Bunyoro to promote Technical Education

The Minister of State for Bunyoro Affairs Hon. Jennifer Namuyangu Kacha has rallied leaders in Bunyoro sub region to promote technical studies in the region since sciences are paying well and the do promote innovation.
She added that Bunyoro Sub region has technical institutions that the locals have failed to utilize and yet they offer slots for best performers country wide.
"These technical colleges have slots for the indigenous students so long as one performs well by attaining at-least two principle passes at Advanced level and six credits at ordinary level", Namuyangu said.
She also assured sugar cane farmers that their plight of low prices will be tabled to the Cabinet to enable find a lasting solution to the sugar cane prices.
Namunyangu also pledged to re-echo her voice to cabinet to be able to enhance the salary of scientists.
The minister was addressing the District Leaders and technocrats on Thursday 26th Nov 2021 at Country Inn Hotel during a debrief meeting after her familiarization district tour.
Some of the organizations that the Bunyoro Affairs Minister toured among others included; Kinyara Sugar works Limited, Nyabyeya forestry College , Kyema Technical college and Masindi General Hospital.
Speaking in the same meeting, the District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga appreciated the health workers in Masindi for not joining their colleagues in other parts of the country in laying down tools in protest for unpaid emoluments.
