The Prime Minister of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom Andrew Byakutaga has revealed that the Kingdom has introduced a Scholarship Fund to support Students who excel in Academics.
He explained that, the Scholarship will have Sixteen slots for the start and that there will be an affirmative action for the Girl-Child with Two Slots.
Byakutaga disclosed that the Scholarship is targeting courses on demand and majorly which are Science based.
The Premier also revealed that, The Kingdom has embarked on Financial Literacy Programs aimed at alleviating poverty among the people within the Kingdom.
He was speaking yesterday during his Courtesy Call at the District Headquarters.
Meanwhile, The District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga has called upon the Kingdom to protect Kingdom Assets since there are Reports that Bugoma Forest was sold to an Investor. He also urged the Kingdom to promote Cultural Norms and Values because Norms are eroding nowadays.
