The Secretary for Finance Pamela Nyakato has urged the census Sub-County Supervisors to adequately train the Parish Supervisors and Enumerators to enable them run the census activity successfully.
Nyakato said this yesterday,as she closed anine-day district level training of Sub-County Census Supervisors and their Assistants on behalf of the District Chairperson held in the district council chambers.
Speaking in the same training,the Principal Assistant Chief Administrative Officer (PACAO),Musa Kyamiza who represented the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), called for commitment towards the census exercise at various lower local governments.
He also implored the Enumerators to collect accurate data during the enumeration period to foster equitable planning by government.
He however, cautioned against negligence ofthe census equipments saying that those who will lose them will be apprehended.
Phionah Kabanyoro,the District Census Commissioner who represented the Executive Director from UBOS,Chris Mukiza, revealed that the Executive Director emphasized positive attitude towards the success of the census exercise.
