Health facilities in Masindi get new motorcycles

The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Masindi, Emmy Ngabirano has today handed over four newly procured motorcycles worth shs 24 m to Health In-Charges with a call to improve immunisation coverage and outreaches in the district.
Ngabirano however, cautioned Health In-Charges against mis using the motorcycles.
The RDC, handed over the motorcycles from the district headquarters and four health facilities received which included; Mihembero H/C II got reg.no.LG0083-074, Kigezi H/C II got reg.no.LG0081-074, Pakanyi H/C III got reg.no.LG0082-074 while Kichandi H/C II got motorcycle reg.no.LG0080-074.
Speaking at the same function,the District Chairperson, Cosmas Byaruhanga appealed to the In-Charges who have received the motorcycles to use them and improve the health care system now that the challenge of inadequate transport means has been solved.
The Principal Assistant Chief Administrative Officer (PACAO),Musa Kyamiza who represented the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)at the ceremony, revealed that the criteria of allocation was based on health facilities that were badly off interms of transport.
