Masindi district Chairperson, Cosmas Byaruhanga has commended the district council together with the technical staff for performing thier duties successfully during the calendar year.
Speaking as the Chief Guest yesterday during the end of year party celebration,the District Chairperson said it's always a good gesture to appreciate yourself first for the achievements reached at instead of waiting for others to thank you.
In a special way,the District Chairperson recognized the best chosen lower carders of the year including the councilor of the year.
They included; Chrispus Ahumuza who was voted as the best Office Attendant of the year garnering 35,votes,while the best Driver was Israel Tinkamanyire with 21 votes, Scovia Rwahwire was the best Secretary with 29votes and the best Councilor of the year was William Mwambu the District Male PWD Councilor and he polled 11votes.
In another development, Harriet Awaazi aMid-Wife attached to Masindi General hospital was recognized as the Frontline worker of the year while Harriet Nyamahunge a senior Finance Officer was voted in the category of management and Denis Mayanja the LC1 Chairperson for Northern Cell,was voted as the best Politician in the integrity awards and these awards are powered by Recreation for Development and Peace (RDP) Uganda.
On her part,the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Masindi, Tappy Namulondo lauded the district council for approving Beatrice Kahigwa as a member of the District Service Commission, saying that this has been a great milestone achieved this year as staff will be motivated with internal promotions and also focusing on recruiting critical staff.
