Masindi district council yesterday laid budget estimates worth shs 35.7billion for the new FY 2024/2025 in amotion read by the Secretary for Finance Pamela Nyakato.
During the council session held in the district council chambers,the Secretary for Finance pointed out strategies for the effective implementation of the new budget including; completion of all un finished government investments, increased routine supervision of revenue collectors, intensifying multisectoral monitoring, establishment of data on eligible local service and hotel tax payers, establishment of revenue generating investments among others.
In another development, council approved the formal donation of the district tractor registration no.UAW-249V to Kibamba Modern Farmers Association with a reason of supporting the Association to produce on a large scale since production is aKey pillar under the Parish Development Model and the fact that the Association expressed interest in managing the asset well .
