Masindi hospital rehabilitation kicks off

Masindi hospital staff were filled with joy as the Resident District Commissioner(RDC) Masindi Darius Nandinda, launched the construction of the staff quarters worth shs 500m.
The entire cost of the rehabilitation is shs 1.5b but Ministry of Health released shs 500m to start with the construction of the staff quarters.
Addressing the staff yesterday at Masindi hospital, Darius asked the UPDF Engineers Brigade to produce quality and timely work on the project.
Speaking at the same function,the Western Regional Manager of the UPDF Engineers Brigade, Captain Yunus Ntegeka disclosed that the project will be implemented in a phased manner as they will start with the construction of 16unit storage staff quarters.
He assured the leaders that,first priority of the 40% local content will be given to graduates of the Bunyoro Industrial Zonal hub as away of motivating them to work hard.
He revealed that,they won't entertain being compromised.
Meanwhile,the Member of Parliament for Buruli County Hon.Aled Ronald Akugizibwe said in his maiden speech when he joined Parliament,he presented the issue of Masindi hospital rehabilitation and that he was happy to see his efforts come to limelight.
On his part,the District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga welcomed the project saying that it was vital to begin with the construction of the staff houses to enable them have good accommodation which will enable them handle patients well.
