Masindi RDC cautions against misuse of the COVID 19 Response vechicles

The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Masindi, Rose Kirabira Kobusinge has cautioned Officers who will use the COVID 19 Response Vehicles not to misuse them because they will be arrested.
Speaking while handing over the three Pickup Double Cubin vehicles to the District and Municipality Health Officials on Monday this week, after convening the District COVID 19 Task force Committee meeting, Kirabira explained that the vehicles should do surveillance and case management activities to help in averting the COVID 19 spread in the District.
Speaking at the same event, the Acting District Health Officer (DHO), Patrick Baguma disclosed that the vehicles are to support COVID 19 activities and not any other duty and that the vehicles have guidelines on their usage.
The three Pickup Double Cubins vehicles were recently donated to the District by the Ministry of Health through lobbying from the District Parliamentarians.
The vehicles were donated as follows; One vehicle was given to the Municipality to perform COVID 19 activities, while the other two vehicles were given to the General Hospital and DHO's Office to do surveillance and case management work.
