Masindi RDC Commissions equipments worth Shs 60.8m

The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Masindi, Emmy Ngabirano has today commissioned and handed over production equipments worth Shs 60.8million to beneficiaries with a call to Extension workers to provide household farmers with modern farming technologies inorder to harness value addition from farming.
Equipments that the RDC handed over to beneficiaries at the District headquarters among others included;four motorcycles costing shs 19.6m for Extension Staff, Computer accessories worth Shs 7m to Production Office,aFridge for vaccine storage in Vet Laboratory at shs 5m, aPellet making machine for fish feeds at shs 7m and others.
Speaking at the same function,the District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga, urged the beneficiaries to put the recieved equipments into good use to enable them last long.
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Phionah Sanyu expressed concern over some equipments that lacked engravements saying that this was an omission since government property should be engraved for transparency, accountability and easy identification.
