Minister of State for Public Service advises locals to embrace census 2024

The Minister of State for Public Service Hon Mary Mugasa has urged residents of Masindi to embrace the census exercise so as government plans for the economy with accurate data of the population.
Mugasa also assured the civil servants that the remuneration of the arts category is in the pipeline and that soon it will be effected.
She said this yesterday, while officiating as the Chief Guest as Masindi commemorated the International Labour day at Uganda Technical College (UTC) Kyema under the theme,"Improving Access to Labour Justice:A prerequisite for Increased Productivity".
Addressing civil servants of Masindi as the key note speaker,the Commissioner Human Resource from Ministry of Public Service,Dr.Peter Okiror implored staff to desist from conflicts and instead foster team work inorder to serve clients professionally.
The District Chairperson, Cosmas Byaruhanga called for increment of salaries across the board as many civil servants are being forced to devise means of survival due to low pay.
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Masindi, Phionah Sanyu advised staff to meet their work targets inorder to avoid being stressed.
The Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Emmy Ngabirano called for respect of all cadres regardless of the position,if conflicts are to be avoided in civil service.
