National Council of Sports to establish Grassroot structures

The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Masindi, Emmy Ngabirano,has implored National Council of Sports (NCS) to improve sports facilities in districts through allocating more funds to districts inorder to promote sports talents.
He also urged NCS to build capacity of Sports Officers in districts to enable them promote all sports disciplines in learning institutions and in communities.
He said this today, while opening a stakeholders meeting on sports that was held in the District Council Chambers and organized by the National Council of Sports (NCS).
Speaking in the same meeting,Susan Anek Ongom aMember of NCS who represented the Council Chairperson, revealed that NCS has embarked on developing grass root sports structures such that all talents of sports are tapped.
While closing the engagement,the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (DCAO), Robert Abia Owilli,urged NCS to promote sports participation in districts to enable participants reach high level competitions.
