New RDC vows to fight corruption

The new Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Masindi Darius Nandinda,has vowed to crack awhip against corruption tendencies during his tenure in the district.
The tough speaking RDC made the statement yesterday during the district budget conference for the financial year 2025/2026 held at the education hall under the theme,"Full Monetization of Uganda's Economy Through Commercial Agriculture, Industrialization, Expanding and Produce Services, Digital Transformation and Marketing".
While delivering her highlights of the budget conference,the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Masindi Tappy Namulondo, revealed that there is need to implement the sustainable waste management plan to avoid the adverse effects of poor waste disposal.
She also called for joint efforts from stakeholders to mobilize for more revenue inorder to increase the district resource envelope to enable deliver equitable services.
In his remarks,the District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga,said there was need to lobby for more road funds to enable the district work on a large road network.
He assured stakeholders that the piped water system for Kikuube-Kikingura would be completed within this running financial year so that in the next financial year the district embarks on laying pipes for the Bulima Town Council piped water system.
