Road works for 7(km) Kijunjubwa -Kateirwe road launched

The Assistant Resident District Commissioner (ARDC) Masindi district, Hellen Tugume, yesterday launched the periodic maintenance of Kijunjubwa -Kateirwe (7kms)road worth shs 14m with a call to the locals to use the road productively.
Tugume, however urged the residents to desist from damaging the road after the road works are complete especially those with cattle.
She was addressing residents at Kateirwe church where the launching took place.
Speaking at the same event,the District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga,assured residents of Kijunjubwa that government has plans of extending electricity and piped water to their area.
The Road Inspector Julian Mugisa, explained the scope of road works saying that they will do swamp raising, graveling of spots equivalent to 2kms, installation of 42 pieces of 600mm culverts and over head costs.
Meanwhile,the District Male Councilor for Kijunjubwa Sub-County Enock Akandwanaho, asked for more water projects in his area of jurisdiction since the area is water stressed.
