School project costing shs 3.3b launched for construction

Kijunjubwa Seed Secondary School worth Shs 3.3billion has today been launched for construction in Kijunjubwa Sub-County.
Speaking as the Chief Guest during the ground breaking ceremony held at Kijunjubwa Community Sec.School,the Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Emmy Ngabirano has assured residents that the project will be monitored and supervised until it's completion.
The RDC, cautioned parents against marrying off underaged girls.
Speaking at the same event,the Member of Parliament for Buruli Constituency,Hon.Aled Akugizibwe implored the locals to execute quality work to avoid the scenario that happened while undertaking Budongo Seed Secondary School.
The District Chairperson, Cosmas Byaruhanga warned encroachers against ploughing on the school land.
He urged parents to bring children to schools since government has injected in large sums of money towards infrastructure in schools.
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Phionah Sanyu called for proper coordination, transparency and communication to effectively execute the project to completion.
She clarified that the Presidential pledge has been fulfilled through the UGIFT program.
The Director CMD Investments limited,Moses Kiwanuka pledged to work in accordance with the contract obligations to produce quality work.
Meanwhile,the Acting District Engineer, Alfredo Ocen told locals that the contract sum of the project is shs 3,368,591,397,while preliminary activities will cost shs 141,900,000 and that the project will be implemented within a period of 18 months.
