Shs 2 bn Community Secondary School launched for construction in Masindi

Masindi district Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Emmy Ngabirano yesterday led leaders to perform the ground breaking ceremony as he launched the construction of Kinumi Community Secondary School in Miirya Sub-County, Masindi district.
While launching the shs 2 billion project, Ngabirano lauded government and particularly the NRM for implementing it's manifesto on education of providing every Sub-County with a seed Secondary School.
He also thanked the district leaders who lobbied for the funding of the school.
He however, reminded residents of the forth coming National exercise of renewing thier National Identity cards which is a requirement by all people residing in the country to uphold.
On his part,the District Councilor representing Miirya Sub-County, Bright Tibigambwa disclosed to the gathering that he was among the few leaders that hatched the plan of starting up Kinumi Community Secondary School which was later embraced by other stakeholders.
Students of Miirya Sub-County have been trekking long distances to access education services from St.Pauls Secondary School in Pakanyi Sub-County which is at the periphery of the latter.
The Interim Chairperson Board of Governors (BOG) who also doubles as the Member of Parliament for Buruli County,Hon.Aled Ronald Akugizibwe, called for quality work to be executed by the contractor of the project.
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Masindi, Phionah Sanyu urged parents to reward the investment of government by bringing more learners to the school.
She said,she needs more than 1,500 students at the school when construction of classrooms is complete.
The project's Contractor Moses Semwogerere who is the Managing Director Semwo Construction Company Limited, pledged to provide quality work and also complete the project within the time frame stipulated in the contract.
