Shs 67m projects launched for construction in Masindi

Atotal of shs 67 million capital projects were yesterday launched for construction in Masindi district.
The four launched projects include among others the 3 stance lined latrine at Alimugonza market in Pakanyi Sub-County at shs 17 m,another 3 stance lined latrine at Pumuzika market in Budongo Sub-County at shs 17 m,aprotected spring well in Rwengabi village in Nyantonzi Sub-County will be constructed at shs 5.2m while the 5 stance lined latrine at Murro Primary School,will be constructed at shs 27.8 m.
Addressing residents at Alimugonza market,the District Chairperson, Cosmas Byaruhanga cautioned Contractors against using poor quality bricks.He also, challenged project beneficiary communities to own these projects through monitoring the Contractors to ensure that they produce quality work.
Speaking at the same function,the Acting Principal Assistant Secretary (Ag.SAS),Musa Kyamizze, called for good hygiene and sanitation by users of the latrines after thier completion to avoid contracting diseases caused by poor sanitation.
The Contractors of these projects pleged to produce quality work but however,they asked for community cooperation during the execution of the projects.
