Leaders in Masindi Have Called for the Upgrade of Nyabyeya Health Center II

The leaders in Masindi have called upon government to upgrade Nyabyeya Health Center II to a Health Center III since it has acquired a maternity ward and that now it can handle deliveries of mothers.
Speaking on Sunday, during the commissioning of the newly constructed maternity ward at Nyabyeya Health Center II , the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Phionah Sanyu requested the political leaders to advocate for the elevation of the facility.
She however urged, stakeholders to protect and secure government pieces of land inorder to get more capital projects from government.
Speaking at the same event, the Ambassador of Poland to Kenya, Jacek Bazanski said with the donation of the maternity project and many more projects to come, this will increase on the bi-lateral relationship between Uganda and Poland.
The Member of Parliament for Bujenje Constituency Hon. Kenneth Kiiza Nyendwoha who represented the Prime Minister, disclosed that all is being done to connect piped water and extend rural electricity supply to areas surrounding Budongo Sub-county.
The District Chairperson, Cosmas Byaruhanga appreciated the Polish government for funding the construction of the maternity ward. He however, urged the Health workers to effectively use the new facility in assisting mothers who are due for giving birth.
