Masindi District Council pays last tribute to the former District Boss

Masindi District Council on Tuesday this week paid thier last respect to the fallen former District Chairperson Isingoma Wilson Mugimba who succumbed after undergoing an operation at St.Mary's Lacor Hospital in Gulu City.
Speaking during the special sitting held at the district headquarters to honor the body of the deceased,the District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga hailed the slain former District Boss as a leader who laid the foundation for the development of the district and he also appreciated him for exhibiting acordial relationship with the technocrats to enable efficient service delivery.
Kanaginagi Ateenyi Rutindo who was aclose friend and worked with the late, described him as a leader who loved peace and reconciliation amidst challenges.
He added that, Mugimba improved the road network in Masindi.It's on this note,where he asked the district council to pick one of the roads in the district and name it in memory of the deceased.
Mary Kihika Mujumura,aformer Deputy Council Speaker who served in the same council with the slain leader,told Mourners that Mugimba was an open minded leader who promoted career growth through paving way for staff to upgrade in thier studies.
The fallen leader,served as the district Councillor for Miirya Sub-County,Sec.for Works and later elevated to District Chairperson from 2011-2016 where he promoted his famous slogan,"Here I come in Peace".
Mugimba was laid to rest yesterday in his ancestral home in Kinuma village Miirya Sub-County.
