Following the need by all Local governments to conduct Budget Conferences to ensure proper and accurate planning during the budgeting cycle, Masindi too held it's budget conference of FY 2023/2024.
Addressing participants on Wednesday this week at the Education Hall,the District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga, explained that one of the major objectives of the National Development Plan (NDP)III,is to eradicate poverty among people.He said,this was illustrated in the budget frame work paper of the district for the FY2023/2024.
He however, decried elements of corruption which are hampering development initiatives of the district.
While giving his closing remarks,the Resident District Commissioner (RDC),Emmy Ngabirano called upon the locals to report wrong elements of cattle thefts as the vice is rampant in areas of Ntooma and Greater Kimengo Sub-County.
