Masindi Hospital to receive anew ambulance vehicle

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health,Dr.Diana Atwine has disclosed that Masindi General Hospital will soon recieve anew ambulance vehicle to support in referral services of the hospital.
This follows the outcry that the hospital has grappled with in referring patients due to inadequate transport facilities.
Dr.Atwine also revealed that the money for constructing the new hospital has been cleared by the Ministry of Finance amounting to shs 5billion which will be used in the new FY 2023/2024 while the balance of shs 5 billion will be released in the FY 2024/2025.
She said this yesterday,while addressing district leadership and health workers at the hospital after she monitored the health service delivery at the hospital.
Speaking in the same meeting,the Resident District Commissioner Masindi, Emmy Ngabirano insisted that the mattresses that went missing at Bwijanga Health Center IV during COVID-19 lockdown must be returned back to the facility.
The District Vice Chairperson who represented the District Chairperson,Kassim Kabagonza requested for the upgrade of Kitanyata Health Center III to Health Center IV because it has a big Catchment of the population who come to get services at the facility.
