Pentecostal church donates hydraulic delivery bed to Masindi Hospital

The Bishop of Kabarwana Pentecostal church Charles Bagonza,has today donated a shs 6 m hydraulic delivery bed to Masindi General hospital with the intention of supporting mothers with special needs to have efficient deliveries.
Speaking as he handed over the equipment at hospital premises, Bishop Bagonza said as church they lobbied for the equipment through their partner FIDA since mothers with disabilities would face challenges during delivery of new babies.
While receiving the donation,the District Chairperson Cosmas Byaruhanga, appreciated the council of disabilities for identifying the need in reproductive health and yielding fruitful results since the hydraulic delivery bed will now ease birth of babies by mothers with special needs.
He however, called for examination beds from partners to support patients with disabilities attain better health services.
The Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (DCAO),Samson Natsambwa welcomed the support and appealed to the hospital management to maintain the equipment in good operational condition.
The District Male Councilor for People with Disabilities (PWDs) William Mwambu, revealed that the equipment was as a result of a huge out cry from mothers with special needs since anumber of them were being harassed at the time of delivery by mid-wives as they would find difficulties climbing the ordinary delivery beds.
