The Deputy RDC Masindi, Dominic Tibasimwa yesterday Officially handed over Five New Motorcycles to the Extension Workers in the District.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Tibasimwa Urged them to add efforts and provide Extension Services to the Farmers since now they have acquired means of Transport.
The Principal Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, Richard Kiiza said that the Extension Workers have no excuses now to attain better performance as far as providing extension knowledge to the needy Farmers.
Meanwhile, The Ag. District Production Officer, Dr. Ssebuguzi Fred explained that the Motorcycles costed Shs. 31,000,000 UGX. On this Note, He asked The Extension Workers to work Efficiently and help Farmers attain Better Yields to enable them improve on their Livelihoods.
The Secretary for Production Goefrey Kiiza Bigabwa who represented the District Chairperson, called for proper use of motorcycles by the Extension Workers.
He however, appreciated the Government for this effort to support Extension Services.
He said that, "I want to see Farmers produce quality yields and attain much incomes to enhance their Livelihoods"
